"I am greatly encouraged and excited about Building to Grow. One of our greatest needs in the church today is to see young people trained by godly leaders in the context of Bible-centred youth ministries. I have no doubt that this course will be of tremendous benefit to everyone who attends."

THE MISSIONBuilding to Grow is an organisation passionate about training children's and youth leaders, across the denominations in Ireland. Our aim is to equip and train leaders in both the theory and practice of Biblical youth ministry. We seek to achieve this aim by running the 'Building to Grow' course, organising training events and advising those involved in children's and youth ministry.

THE COURSE
At the heart of 'Building to Grow' is our annual BTG Course. The course takes place over 9 evening sessions, and one day away. It runs from September to June each year, on the 4th Thursday each month. Each evening starts at 7:30pm and ends around 9:30pm, and is held in Union Theological College, Botanic Ave, Belfast. There is a small cost of £75 to be paid on the first night, which includes the core text book.

EVENTS
Every year, Building to Grow run a number of special training events for youth and children ministries. These events offer participants a unique opportunity to receive training from speakers from different parts of the world, who have a wealth of experience in both children's and youth ministry. Previous speakers have included Ken Moser, Mel Lacy and Rory Bell. Click the link to find out about upcoming events and to book your place.

CHURCH TRAINING
Building to Grow is committed to serving the local church. As such we can now offer training days or events for churches or groups of churches throughout Ireland. During these sessions, Building to Grow trainers will be able to offer bible-centred training that help equip and resource Sunday School teachers and youth leaders, while providing specific insight to each individual context.

“Now more than ever in youth ministry, leaders and volunteers alike need to be disciples making disciples, teaching God’s Word faithfully to young people in relevant and accessible ways. As a former full time youth worker, I know I often felt ill equipped to confidently teach the Bible to a room full of teenagers. A organisation such as this one will equip youth leaders and volunteers to “train a child up in the way he should go” and to have the Bible as front and centre of their youth work.”
